Raspberry “Boyne” (one-gallon)

Raspberry “Boyne” (one-gallon)

Rubus idaeus var

$9.99

The Boyne variety of raspberry is a cold-hardy and reliable early season producer of berries. Sweet and aromatic juicy red berries are ready to pick early to mid-summer to use for fresh eating, freezing, jams and pies. Fast growing, up to 4-5 feet tall at maturity, this upright self-pollinating shrub is thorny, and best planted in its own designated space with supports in full sun to part shade, in moist soil. Boyne raspberries fruit on second year canes, and must be pruned yearly (each Spring) to remove old canes, leaving only last years growth standing. Its a great plant for mass plantings, and a welcome addition to edible landscapes
